I thought this was interesting.

with Uranus exactly conjunct the North Node for the past week or so, there really has been a heavy dose of "fate," "destiny," or whatever you want to call it in the direction in which my life is heading.

I very empathetically believe that astrology is not about fate, but about how we can use planetary energies, like using wind and water currents to sail a ship. Occasionally, however, a storm blows in and pushes us somewhere we weren't intending to go. Under these conditions, trying to steer is futile. All we can do is give in, hang on, and hope we end up in the Promised Land and not shipwrecked on a deserted island.

Then there's Michael Lutin's astro-poetry:

sometimes a strike of lightning is a blessing
even if the washing machine goes haywire
or people pop into your life
out of the freakin' blue
that's the uranus node conjunction
don't even think of trying to predict
where it's going to come from
because it's the universe's voice
speaking to you

expect tension and dissension in the ranks

It's really simple
You have to be more spiritual about the whole thing
You can't force issues
you can't command change
and you certainly cannot program the outcome
or hurry love
not as long as Rahu and Uranus are
sleeping together in Pisces
pushing your way through will get you nowhere
except arrested
so your approach has to be one of
wisdom and compassion
that does NOT mean lie down in front of the truck
Justice will be served
and if you haven't been behaving right
admit it take your licks and move on
and if you have
then just bide your time
and the world will come around
just don't sit there waiting for it to happen
