The opposition aspect brings awareness. Visually, you can see that a Full Moon is illuminated. Yet during an eclipse, this awareness is temporarily obscured, because the Earth comes between the Sun and Moon. The light disappears. What happens to our emotions (Moon) when this happens?
The opposition also symbolizes a breaking point, when you must make a decision. Further commit to a path/relationship, or separate from it? You may be able to see more clearly now what to do, but the decision feels so life-changing that you don't quite feel in control of the matter. Whatever has come to a head feels almost destined.
