Today's astro-analysis
I saw what Elsa said at the end of the day today:
The Moon in Taurus squares Venus in Leo and Chiron, Neptune and the N.Node in Aquarius and if you, like me have planets at the mid degrees of the Fixed signs, you can expect trouble because each of the points on this T-square has an agenda and it isn’t necessarily going to be to your liking.
Will the events be in your best interest? Well, yeah. But who cares about that on a day like this?
On the upside, there is a grand trine in earth so if all else fails, eat or screw. Whatever you can do to get in your body, because that’s where the relief is.
This is how my day went: I was teaching a sewing-related class today, and half the students (4/7) showed up. Two of them were utterly AWOL and the third told me she had to perform (huh?) at the $ustainability Fair, which was going on RIGHT during my class. Another student ended up showing up, but at first she told me she wasn't coming either because she also wanted to go to this fair. I was all, "You're kidding me, right? THIS is the Big Fun in town that you are skipping out on this to go to?!" Gee, who knew I should have scheduled around THAT. I didn't say it, but I was thinking it. (I have had a cranky-making week.) Everyone else had an agenda and I wasn't happy about it!
I also got a wee bit annoyed when it hit the starting time and nobody was in there at all, and a friend of mine in the class had decided 15 minutes before that she wanted to go find something to eat. (Let's just say she had to drive to find somewhere for that, and runs late in general, so I was all, "Oh crap, she'll be gone for 45 minutes.") Well, the friend showed up only five minutes late to class, yay, and the other girl skipped the SF, an the other two came in fifteen minutes late, so...well, at least something got started and I had people, right? And one of them brought a friend (I let her), and she was also a good student. And people got stuff done and had a good time.
One chick told me she won't be back next week, but since she's learned her stuff, that's fine. I am just annoyed at those who flake the first day a bit. Do I start over lecturing everyone again from the beginning if any of those people do show up? Okay, I doubt more than one of the missing three will (I don't know the other two). I suspect the class will be REALLY small on the last session though, since people in this town are flaky as hell and TPTB and me assumed when creating the class that half the class would drop out by week 2. Not a great sign when half drop out on day one... I figure maybe two will come back for sure. Oh well, those that do will have hours of sewing fun.
I have Uranus in Scorpio in the mid-degrees, so there you go. Unexpected hitting an earthy crafting day.
Oh, I forgot to mention that that night I was supposed to go over to a friend's house for a sewing party, but never heard from her as to whether or not it was going to go on after all. More flaking.
