This is the month your life will begin to turn a corner and bring you much closer to life as you want it, both personally and professionally. When you begin to see things change for the better, no one will be more surprised than you. For too long, you've had quite a no-frills life, and you've not seen much evidence that this would ever change. Furthermore, you need evidence that you've been making the right moves and showing good judgment, and that will show up soon now, too. This month will be chock-full of news, and as tense as September proved to be (and it was that, for sure), October will be just the opposite - joyful, lively, and full of fast-moving events.
As October begins, you seem to be working very hard toward finishing a big work project. The full moon will bring an enormous amount of energy for you to use, but also to harness team members and get them on board. If you feel things were crawling along in September, with nothing but one delay after another, that would sound right. If you were wondering if this project will ever get done on time, the good news is yes, it likely will. Rally the team and delegate - you can be very effective now and everyone will pull together beautifully.
Hah. This actually applies at work. Seriously.
Saturn is heading to your twelfth house, a rather gentle house, and is due to stay until October 2012, with a brief exception of 14 weeks when Saturn will return to your friendship house from April 7 to July 21. The new part of the chart where Saturn will set up shop will be your area of psychology. If you have a habit you need to quit, Saturn will give you the discipline, structure, mentor / coach, or doctor to help you do so once and for all. If you need a good reason to end that habit, Saturn will offer you one. This house is also considered the "house of self-undoing," so if there is anything you have avoided, ignored, or pretended won't hurt you (even though you know it will), Saturn will present you with the information you need to change.
Taurus (April 19- May 20)
I don’t blame most people for not pursuing their creative talents as a way to make a living. Yes, our parents usually tried to talk us out of them. It’s also true that developing talent takes a lot of work, and there are absolutely no guaranteed rewards. The rewards for getting an MBA or passing the bar are not guaranteed either, but at least there are people waiting with jobs for those skillsets. Creativity is a total gamble, and taking that risk is associated with plenty of justifiable fear. The only thing is, sometimes one’s sense of necessity far exceeds that fear. The Taurus mind may be the most obsessive of the entire zodiac, and you’ve certainly been ruminating on this issue for a long time, particularly the past month, which caps off nearly two years of simply knowing you must do something better; something more worthwhile with your time and with your talent. I am pretty sure you even know exactly what that thing is and how rewarding it will be. I am not here to tel l you that you will get there; but I am here to tell you that you can get there if you work with a conscious plan, if you strive to understand the nature of your own resistance (which is mostly fear) and most of all, if you want to.
Scorpio (Oct. 23- Nov. 22)
If you shift your awareness regarding a professional question into long-term mode, you’ll have the ability to take advantage of events later in the year and early next year. If you keep your nose to the grindstone and don’t look up, this will not be as easy. I am suggesting specifically that you think ahead and stack the deck in your own favor. Moreover, consider that you recognize that in any situation involving your reputation or the focusing of personal power, there is almost always a setup involved. Very little ‘just happens’. Yes, providence can intervene, and we do seem to be in a moment when pushing pushes us backwards. Clearly, this is a risk. You need to use your mind, and you need to think in more than one dimension. I’m suggesting something gentle, which is maintaining awareness of the diversity of factors necessary in attaining success. Closer to the point is having a clear enough definition of success that you know it when you see it. The angle you are working for is quite specific in nature; not the success of a new car, but rather of knowing that you have your role to play in the cosmic drama, and that you are playing it well.
Is frustrating me.
Sounds great (and like the weekly I just posted), doesn't it?I often find it so interesting that when people are on the cusp of their biggest breakthroughs, they often feels most vulnerable, stuck, or confused about the choices they recently made. This seems to be the case with you, but make no mistake: You are heading to the front of the class, dear Taurus. You would really have to go out of your way to mess up, and with your aspects, even if you did, those mistakes would be overlooked. One door right after another should open now.
I then got frustrated reading it because it went on about how Aquarius is my tenth house and all kinds of great things should be coming in my career. I know Susan Miller advocates (very strongly in this post) that you have to read both your rising and your sun signs, but I don't see how reading your sun is really, really giving you The Whole Picture if the entire effing horoscope is written assuming Taurus is your first house WHEN IT IS NOT MY FIRST HOUSE. The placements DO NOT WORK WITH MY CHART, yo.
So reading Scorpio, once again it's all about home, home home! You will want to remodel! Get a new house! Clean it! Home home yay! And I continue to have zero interest in moving, remodeling, redecorating, or cleaning my home. I am there long enough to watch DVD's and sleep and that's about it. (Sadge moon hates home.)
Really, Aquarius to me does NOT work as "the house of home" at all. Aquarius to me is not snuggling down on your couch or redecorating or any of that crap. It doesn't resonate to me and every time I read something going on and on about the Big Changes At Home I just get annoyed.
Taurus: Mars has entered your birth sign, which is putting some fire in your belly. I trust you will give that famous Taurean complacency a run for its money. I know a lot of people born under your sign, and I do mean know and love. They all admit the same thing: it’s difficult to make changes. The comfort zone can feel like climbing out of a canyon. On the most basic level, Taurus grounds stability for the whole astrological system. Yet deep beneath the crust of the Earth is a tectonic power that you know you have, but rarely tap into. That strength would enable you to make vast changes as if this were no big deal at all.
Der, what?
What I believe entices you to keep things stable, is less about fear of the future and more about an attachment to the past. But fear plays a role you need to address. On and off for the past several months, you’ve had a tour of what tends to freak you out. There’s another aspect to fear, however, which is feeling the emotion but losing touch with what creates it. Here is the key to your astrology this month: use fear as a source of energy. Go right into it and confront it directly; or let it propel you to make the decisions that you need to make. If fear is not an issue for you per se, then make a list of your perceived limits and, one by one, take them out.
True dat.Scorpio: You must be emotionally grounded to be free; to be emotionally grounded you need to either feel like you belong somewhere, or be consciously, firmly devoted to it not mattering whether you do or don’t. Ultimately, most environmental issues relate to some internal factor. The planets are conspiring to help you work out what that factor is, and to align you with a kind of therapy process to get you to where you want to be. You seem to be edging ever-closer to actually anchoring yourself in a measure of creative freedom — closer, but (so far) never quite getting there.
Please hurry up on that.
My point is that you most certainly will, and you will sooner than you think.
But the territory you are covering now is essential to making sure you are actually stable enough to be freer than you are today. Part of that freedom involves your emotional world. While nobody would doubt that you are an emotional person, the theme of the planets is how you structure your emotions, and the extent to which you try to hold a consistent pattern. To the extent that any lingering old patterns remain, you are now being keyed into the existence of another kind of strength; one that does not require control so much as it requires awareness. This includes awareness of where you will not let your feelings go, and an invitation to enter precisely that space.
SCORPIO (October 23-November 21): It's been many weeks since I laid down a work-plan for you, courtesy of an active 6th house in your solar chart making April and May excellent months for accomplishing a loaded slate of to-dos. Well, Scorpio, you've probably forgotten all about that by now… and with good reason, considering that your relationship life (whether romantic, friend or professional in nature) has begun lighting up, pulling your attention toward issues and activities you can share with another person. Here's hoping you did get a lot done when the doing was favored, since I expect your mind to be elsewhere—namely, on a certain person who maybe began pulling your attention away a few weeks back, but who's now taking on a much more central role in your day-to-day existence. The good news I have: I cannot come up with any compelling reason why you shouldn't explore who this person is, what you have to offer each other, and where this all could be going. Just be aware, however, that even subtly unassuming steps made toward this relationship can't help but make unspoken statements of a certain greater magnitude. (In other words, everything seems loaded.) If none of this relationship hullaballoo is speaking to you, alas, then the astro-action could play out in a different way: through other people (and one in particular) getting in your path and under your skin, no matter which direction you turn. In that case, be careful with how you set out to 'put an end to it'. Again, supposedly subtle motions will speak volumes, possibly even creating adversaries out of harmlessly annoying individuals.
Huh?
I dunno, if there was someone in real life, this would be a cool horoscope.
Sorta related: this month's Astrology Zone:
As the month begins, you appear to be working closely with one particular person who holds important keys to your future. This person may be your spouse or person you are engaged to, an established live-in partner, or a business partner, investor, agent, publicist, or other business expert you've hired. The seventh house, which is so lit up for you now, rules all serious, contractual relationships, including marriage.
As a Scorpio you are never quite comfortable working in a completely collaborative mode. You prefer to have final control over the course of events, but that is not always possible or even desirable under all circumstances. Conditions now will require you relinquish a portion of your power for awhile, but actually, that may not be so bad! It appears that by working in tandem with another, you will actually benefit. Let me explain why.
Your chart at the start of June shows that Mars, your secondary ruler, is touring your seventh house of collaborative ventures. If the first house represents all that is "you," then the seventh house, found directly opposite the first house on the horoscope wheel, is "thou" - the other person sitting across from you at the table who has as much to gain, or lose, as you do in any venture you do jointly. In marriage, it is the person holding your hand as you venture forth on the road of life.
Having such a powerful and energetic planet in this house is a big deal, and you haven't seen your ruler in this house in two years. Yet Mars is not alone here, as Venus is there too, making your collaborative effort exceptionally smooth and sweet. My goodness, it may even be downright joyful.
It is very rare to see Venus orbiting so close to Mars - Venus loves being with Mars, but alas, this rarely happens, as each planet is usually busy on assignment in different parts of your chart. Now, they are working together, so you may be amazed at how "in sync" you and your partner will be this month.
Venus is also associated with money, so if your alliance is for business, you should do well with this partner - this person is looking out for your interests.
Otherwise known as, "Oh, hm, haven't checked Astrology Zone for this month yet." Grumble grumble grumble.
Taurus:
Think of May as a catch-up month, but not a time to make any big initiations or decisions. I know it's birthday month, dear Taurus, so you were probably hoping to take center stage and give your plans a big push, but the timing is off.
First, Mercury will be retrograde in Gemini and Taurus, and because Mercury is the planet of communication and commerce, you will find these areas liable to have problems. People whose support you need will be indecisive and foggy, slow to jump on your bandwagon. Your immediate reaction will be to try even harder, but that will only make you increasingly frustrated. You need to let others sort out their own priorities while you keep yourself busy and wait. Whatever you did in April will need to cook a bit, so keep the flame on under that pot and be available to answer questions. You will probably have to revise a few elements of your plan too, but if so, take it all in stride, as it's part of the process.
You should not sign any papers until June, as any deal you make in May will need to be restructured or renegotiated later, and that is assuming you'd even want to spend the time talking to the person(s) involved. If you wait until June, you'll be glad you did, for Mercury retrograde is a sign that the wind is changing direction. This time, with Mercury spending so much of its backward time in Taurus, you will feel the slowdowns more.
Actually, you may not immediately view all this as a blessing, but it is, because Mars, the energy planet, will go into Taurus on June 1 until July 11. That will be the most important period of the whole year for you. By the time Mercury is out of retrograde at month's end, you'll be ready to push your projects forward. The timing could not be better! Not only that, but in June, Venus, your guardian planet, will be in Taurus too, making you completely irresistible.
As you see, dear Taurus, all things happen for a reason. This month you were meant to slow down, prioritize your goals, rethink and redo certain projects or endeavors, and get things back on track. Plus, with no ability to get anything to stick, you can feel free to play. It's birthday month after all, perfect for getting together with friends or treating yourself to a few nights out, either to the movies, to hear a band or see a play, or to have lunch in an outdoor cafe or some other treat.
Scorpio, on the other hand, is the opposite:
The month of May will start out strong, for you will have a powerful, positive full moon in Scorpio on May 9. It's clear something highly important to you is about to reach culmination and what will make this full moon so delicious is that news will be unexpected. Saturn will support this full moon too, a sign that whatever opportunity or achievement occurs will help you set up a long term, stable situation.
There’s a whole huge stack of energy right at the bottom of your chart (Jupiter, Neptune, and Chiron precariously perched on top of each other) and all of it is squaring your sun. So you could be extremely happy at the same time as being extremely depressed or anxious at the same time as being confused as to why you are feeling a bunch of different things at once. Makes it kind of hard to make up your mind.
This too will pass, although not really until July or so. The reason you are indecisive, although it will be difficult for you to tell, is because your soul is processing like a gazillion tons of information below the surface of your conscious mind. This takes time and tends to put your normal thought patterns out of commission for awhile. As in being spacy and indecisive.
Having your soul process a gazillion tons of information all at once is actually a good thing, although you won’t, again, probably be able to tell until the entire fatiguing process is completed. But once it is completed, you’ll be able to make better decisions than you thought possible because you’ll understand yourself way better. Which is kind of cool.
"The sun enters your sign on April 19 this year. The sun in a person’s sign tends to make him or her more goal oriented and willing to undertake new projects or endeavors–or more willing to devote renewed effort to existing ones. In your case, the existing goal that could probably benefit most from your attention is the goal of finding or enhancing a suitable career position. If your job or even your professional field is not ideal (translation: driving you crazy and making you wish you could quit if it wasn’t for this darn economy), then the stars are of the opinion that you need to hop to it in terms of doing something about that situation.
How can you find the better position the stars are trying to lure you toward? Oh, it’s that same old advice–networking and hitting up everyone you know for assistance. Really. It truly is who you know that matters this year.
If you’ve already got the perfect career position, then the advice is still the same actually. Keep up and build your network of relationships, help others and ask for help. This just ain’t the year to sit on your laurels (or your backside). ‘Why?” you ask. ‘Because I’m going to lose my job?’
Well, you might (as you well know if you watch the news), but that’s not why. The why is because Neptune and Jupiter in Aquarius in your solar 10th house believe that you can make a bigger and better contribution to the good of society as a whole, right now while the whole thing seems to be caving in. Your Taurean stablity, common sense savvy, caring nature, and general touch with money and practicality are exactly what’s needed these days, and you’ll do the most good in a position that suits you and allows you to function at your best.
So put on your thinking cap ASAP and figure out how you can improve your working life."
Yeah.

Taurus:
Scorpio:
The new moon in Taurus on April 24 will be your celebratory moment, for it will act as a cosmic gift certificate for your birthday, to use any way you please. It will give you what you need most, an ideal time to launch a new relationship or endeavor. A new moon in our own sign is always very special and it only comes once a year. If your birthday falls on this day or within five days of this date, you'll be showered with extra luck. This new moon will be doubly helpful to you if you were born on April 23, or within five days of this date. If that's you, you'll find that your whole year will be filled with lots of fresh starts and new opportunities. If your birthday falls closer to May 9 (next month's full moon), you will find that this coming birthday year will be one of fulfillment and closure. In your case, Taurus born closer to May 9 will find that after the coming twelve months is over, you'll be moving out in very new directions. Those born at the end of April will be doing that now, almost immediately. All Taurus have a really good outlook, especially for career opportunities this year - some of the best of the decade!
Focusing back on this month, April, with Venus moving to stronger, direct speed on April 22 and a new moon in Taurus just two days later, you really have a terrific week at the end of April, one that is quite potent and important to use.
There is a catch, however. You will have to work quickly because Mercury will begin to retrograde on May 7 to May 31, and you will feel the confusing atmosphere as soon as you reach May 1. Be smart and make the most of the weekend of April 25-26 when the moon will be in Taurus. It's your very best point in the month.
Let's talk about the new moon on April 24, for that moon will send a lovely vibe to your seventh house of commitment and partnership. If you are dating and ready for marriage, you may just get engaged this month, right after this new moon! If you are already attached, your partner may come to you with ideas or a new plan for the two of you.
This new moon is very positive, for it will receive gifts from Saturn (stability and longevity) and Pluto (transformation) - that's saying a lot! This is a very good new moon!
Returning our discussion to April, if you are self-employed and thinking of taking on a partner or an expert, such as a new accountant, lawyer, agent, architect, publicist, advertising agency, or investor, the new moon of April 24 will allow you to do so, for the pieces of your plan will fall neatly into place. Continue to check proposed references early in the month so that you will be ready to roll just after the new moon April 24.
Taurus (April 19- May 20)
Rare is it that we get a glimpse of the future, much less an opportunity to experience who we might be in the future. This is what I see in your charts now: a window into witnessing your own potential. You may get a look at this portal at the expense of frustration, self-inquiry and some backpedaling. You may go through substantial doubt before you arrive at a place of witnessing yourself. And you may need to burn through the floor of what you consider a self or an identity before you decide that what you are looking at involves a different concept of existence than something you choose with a “lifestyle.” I am talking about a discovery that will change the course of your life forever.
