]]>In assessing talents I go straight for Venus and Chiron in the natal chart. Venus represents our assets, sometimes quite literally; these are traits and abilities we can pull out of our pockets and use, the best examples being Venus-ruled gifts such as singing ability or artistic talent. Venus attributes always carry an undefinable je ne sais quoi that shines through and designates the result as talent, rather than mere effort. Venus is like ability currency we can spend as we like; it draws admiration, and marks us as naturally skilled, whether we work to develop that ability or not.
Chiron is another kind of attribute entirely, a much more subtle ability that is highly unique and personalized to our Beingness and experience. The Chirotic skill has the quality of being channeled through us, and because of this it’s an asset we can freely offer to others, while this specific aid remains unavailable for our own use. We can profit from Venus; the profit we derive from Chiron is personal and spiritual, for the most part, with the goal being to take the Chirotic experience from a personal to a transpersonal level.

Seriously...that is gonna be a hard nut to crack. I really hope he does therapy. He certainly comes off as pleasant, but if you tick him off, watch out, and he's going to be clenched so hard that his ass could make diamonds when it comes to love and softness.

]]>Having Saturn transitting one’s Venus is like being stalked by a scary life coach. If your Venus is between 18 and 26 degrees of a Mutable sign, you’re having a Saturn-Venus transit. Or 18 to 26 of anything but especially the Mutable. It’s very similar if Saturn is aspecting your Ascendent or Descendent. Or transitting (I so nearly typed transhitting) your 5th or 7th House.
So my Venus – this is just to illustrate- is at 22 Pisces and trine Neptune in Scorpio. Venus in Pisces peeps are already prone to romanticise – having it trine Neptune is just the icing. So the other day I’m walking out of the gym and my mind meanders to the stupid Uranian & his devastating combo of black hair/blue eyes & how charming he can be when not off his face. Venus-Neptune v.quickly took me to a point where I was thinking how my Saturn his on his North Node and that maybe it is my destiny to sort his life out or something like that.
Suddenly I swear I practically heard the voice of Saturn; ‘get a fuqing grip, don’t date men who are beneath you.’ Now Venus in Pisces is about universal compassion and she certainly doesn’t think people are beneath you. But Saturn is all about setting standards and having the self-control to stick to them.

I tend to think the 4th/10th/Cancer/Capricorn nodal connection is the worst of the bunch, actually (yes, even worse than mine and I'm biased :P). Home vs. family and being forced to switch from one orientation to the other to me seems like a real bitch.
I am also smirking at the swamp remark for the South Node. That's...a bit much.
So I was reading this article in Entertainment Weekly about Megan Fox. I never gave a crap about her before, but the girl is brutally honest about herself and I enjoyed it immensely. I have so much more respect for her now.
Naturally, I had to check her for big-mouth indicators in astrology.
